School of Social Work, Psychological and Brain Sciences

The School of Social Work, Psychological and Brain Sciences (SSWPBS) at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) offers academic programs that lead to careers that strengthen skills for service provision, clinically focused direct practice, research, and community engagement. SSWPBS has four undergraduate and three graduate degrees along with minor and certificate options.

Centers

SSWPBS is home to three community facing research, training and service centers including the Center for Behavioral Health, St. Louis Children’s Advocacy Center, and Community Psychological Services.

Accreditations

SSWPBS has three accredited programs. The BSW and MSW degrees are accredited through the Council on Social Work Education. The American Psychological Association accredits the doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
