Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the program, certificate earners will be able to:
- Outline the foundations of biological and life sciences as it applies to human health and disease.
- Analyze basic concepts, methods, and tools of community/public health data collection and apply appropriate statistical concepts and procedures to that data.
- Identify the socioeconomic, behavioral, biological, environmental, and other factors that impact human health and contribute to health disparities.
- Effectively employ health-specific communication, including technical and professional writing and the use of mass media and electronic technology.
- Apply health education, prevention, and communication concepts to field experience.
